Gbeck Future to screen ‘The Choice’

Iranian short film ‘The Choice’ has been set to take part in the Gbeck Future Film Festival in Canada.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘The Choice’ by Mansoureh Radfar will be screened at the 8th edition of the Canadian event.

The film is about a pregnant woman who has to give birth to her baby in the midst of the presidential election, while facing challenges in choosing the method of delivery.

Earlier reports said ‘The Statue’ by Mohsen Salehifard and ‘Shadow’ by Farzin Taheri will also take part in the Gbeck Future.

The Gbeck Future Film Festival is “a competition of original films created by filmmakers from around the world, designed to discover and support young filmmakers”, an online submission platform reads.

“Many great young filmmakers have been fostered by this event, and many excellent new films were discovered in the selection process.”

The 8th edition of the Gbeck Future Film Festival will take place on April 8-10.
